I'm Edouard, a startup founder and AI safety researcher.

I'm the cofounder and CTO of Gladstone AI, a company that helps ensure that powerful, dual-use AI systems have safeguards in place to protect national and global security. I've briefed a large number of senior officials on AI risk in the U.S., U.K., and Canadian governments. I've also been lucky to collaborate with some incredibly talented folks from DeepMind in the UK, MIRI in San Francisco, and the CHAI team at UC Berkeley.

Previously, I cofounded a YC company and ran it for four years. As part of that experience I've written extensively about how one can get hired as a machine learning engineer with little work experience. My work in this area has been viewed around a million times.

I'm also an occasional angel investor. I've backed a couple of dozen startups at seed stage in various industries.
